Safety Science Coordinator II Job Description

The Safety Science Coordinator II supports Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance Services (PSS) operations. This role focuses on the accurate and timely processing of adverse event reports received from clinical trials, spontaneous reports, and post-marketing settings. The selected candidate will work with safety databases and tracking systems while ensuring that safety cases meet applicable client, study, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing adverse event reports received from clinical trials and spontaneous reporting sources.
  • Managing the receipt and processing of adverse event and safety reports.
  • Entering safety information into adverse event databases and tracking systems.
  • Reviewing safety cases for completeness, accuracy, and expedited reporting requirements.
  • Writing clear and medically appropriate patient narratives.
  • Coding adverse events using MedDRA, where applicable.
  • Coordinating appropriate medical review of safety cases.
