Job Description
The R&D Scientific Competitive Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for utilizing patent data and other scientific resources to map the competitive innovation landscape for Sanofi programs. This role involves interpreting competitors’ IP activity in collaboration with CI Senior Analysts, CI Leaders, and Portfolio Strategy teams. The analyst will deliver patent landscapes, innovation trend analyses, technology benchmarking, and competitor watchlists while monitoring competitor patenting to identify shifts in R&D focus and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize patent data to map the competitive innovation landscape for Sanofi programs.
- Collaborate with CI Senior Analysts, CI Leaders, and Portfolio Strategy teams to interpret competitors’ IP activity.
- Deliver patent landscapes, innovation trend analyses, and technology benchmarking.
- Monitor competitor patenting to spot shifts in R&D focus and emerging technologies.
- Provide Global Project Teams with timely patent-based intelligence.
- Support the evaluation of digital and AI tools for patent analytics.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field (M.Pharm, Pharm.D, or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, including at least 1 year in competitive intelligence, technology scouting, or patent analytics.
- Experience analyzing R&D pipelines, technology platforms, or innovation trends using patent data.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular, metabolism, or immunology is a plus.
