Job Purpose: To conduct and assist in pre-formulation and phase-appropriate formulation development activities to support pre-clinical and clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Physicochemical properties assessment through pre-formulation studies for new chemical entities (NCEs).
- Handling and good knowledge on various analytical tools/instruments used in drug discovery and formulation development work to understand physicochemical properties of NCEs.
- Good knowledge/understanding on solid state characterization of drug substances.
- Formulation development and feasibility studies to support pre-clinical pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacology (PD), and toxicology (safety) studies.
- Assist in oral drug product development to support clinical studies, including but not limited to oral solution, suspension, tablet, and capsule dosage forms.
- Record, summarize, and present experimental data/results appropriately and assist in drafting relevant scientific/technical reports.
- Good working knowledge on MS Office and basic scientific software/tools used in drug discovery and formulation development workspace.
- Work collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams while exhibiting the core values of the department and company.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
For Syngene scientist jobs such as this, candidates need an M. Pharm or M.S. in Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry with 0 – 2 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
