Formulation Scientist Job Description
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is seeking an experienced Formulation Scientist to support the development of oral solid and liquid dosage formulations. The role involves executing projects according to timelines, ensuring successful bio-studies, supporting regulatory filings, and scaling up formulations from the lab to commercial scale. The position reports to the Tech Lead Formulations and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams across analytical, regulatory, SCM, and process groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and record formulation development strategies in E-lab notebooks.
- Anticipate potential challenges and provide proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with analytical teams to conduct batch analysis and interpret data.
- Prepare documentation for license applications, stage gate approvals, and pilot plant batches.
- Present project updates biweekly to the delivery manager.
- Work with process teams to conduct optimization trials and scale-up activities.
- Support product filing, deficiency responses, and submission of exhibit batch samples.
- Ensure compliance with company systems, safety, and quality standards.
Formulation Scientist Job Technical Skills:
- Experience with differentiated oral dosage forms, modified release pellets, and matrix formulations.
- Knowledge of lab and plant scale equipment for oral solids and liquids.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ICH guidelines, cGMP, and regulatory requirements.
