Job Details:
- Position: Post-Doctoral Fellow – Project Scientist I
- Project Title: Droplet-Microfluidic-based High-throughput 3-Dimensional Organoid Generator for Advanced Drug Screening Applications
Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Biomedical science/engineering, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a closely related field.
- Thesis-submitted candidates are also eligible to apply.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Age limit: 35 years.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior research experience in cell culture (primary/cell lines), organoids, microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip, 3D bioprinting, in vitro models, and molecular biology techniques.
- Experience in lab management and in vitro 3D models (preferable, but not mandatory).
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with industry partners.
- Design and execute experiments related to microfluidic lab-on-a-chip devices and 3D in vitro models.
- Perform mammalian cell culture and molecular biology experiments.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data.
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals.
- Collaborate with project team members and contribute to project reports.
- Assist in mentoring junior researchers and students.
- Stipend: The VIT Project Scientist I position offers Rs. 56,000/- + 10% HRA (per month).
- Sponsoring Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India.
- Duration: 1 year (Oct 2026 – Oct 2027)
