    BIRAC Young Professional Jobs: Job Description

    The Regulatory Affairs & Policy Advocacy (RAPA) division facilitates innovators in navigating regulatory approval pathways and advocates for policies impacting start-ups, SMEs, and innovators. These BIRAC Young Professional Jobs involve executing the activities detailed below.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the planning and coordination of strategic meetings, consultations, and stakeholder interactions.
    • Assist in organising regulatory awareness programmes, workshops, capacity-building initiatives, and activities of Regulatory Facilitation Centres.
    • Coordinate and facilitate FIRST Hub and REFINE program.
    • Conduct regulatory and market research, maintain databases, and support the preparation of concept notes, white papers, reports, and policy briefs.
    • Assist in data collection, analysis, documentation, and preparation of presentations related to regulatory and policy initiatives.
    • Coordinate with government departments, regulatory agencies, industry experts, academic institutions, and other stakeholders as required.
    • Support for the implementation of ongoing RAPA programmes and undertake any other assignments entrusted by the division for the timely delivery of outputs.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Essential Qualification: Master’s in any area of Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Regulatory Sciences/ Pharmacy/ Public policy or equivalent.
    • Desirable: PhD in any area of Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Regulatory Sciences/ Pharmacy/ Public policy or equivalent.
    • Minimum two years of post-qualification experience in regulatory affairs or policy research of biotech products in government organisations, regulatory agencies, research institutions or industry.
    • Experience in preparing research papers, concept notes, policy documents, reports or scientific publications.
    • Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using statistical or analytical tools.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email correspondence, and internet-based research.
    • Age Limit: 30 years as on closing date of the application.
