• Tenure/Duration: The tenure of the fellowship will initially be for a period of two years and, based on performance, it may be upgraded to SRF and extended for the 3rd and 4th years if required.

General Conditions

1. The offer of fellowship does not confer on fellows any right to absorption in DRDO.
2. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute, which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason.
3. Candidates who have received a DRDO fellowship/associate-ship earlier need not apply.
4. Candidates possessing degree/provisional degree certificates are only eligible to apply.
5. Candidates are to produce original certificates/testimonials and AADHAR card at the time of the interview.
6. Candidates are required to produce copies of published research papers and theses at the time of the interview.
7. One photocopy set of all documents with the application must be carried during the interview.
8. Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies should send their application through the proper channel and are required to produce an NOC from their employer at the time of the interview.
9. The decision of the Centre Head, DRL (DRDO), Tezpur, will be final in case of any discrepancy.
10. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining.
11. The number of fellowships indicated above may vary depending upon laboratory requirements.
12. Reporting time is 09:30–10:00 hrs on 11/09/2026 for the interview at DRL (DRDO), Solmara Military Station, Dekargaon, Tezpur – 784001, Assam.
