PV Case Processing Job Description
This PV case processing job involves managing adverse event reports in the pharmacovigilance (PV) database. Responsibilities include data entry, seriousness, reportability and causality assessment, validation against source documents, and ensuring completeness and quality through self-review. The analyst will determine follow-up needs and adhere to internal and external timelines for adverse event and product complaint case processing and regulatory submissions. Additionally, the role involves escalating case-processing issues that may delay submissions and supporting high-volume periods across multiple databases and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage adverse event reports in the PV database.
- Conduct data entry and assess seriousness, reportability, and causality.
- Validate reports against source documents and call notes.
- Perform self-reviews for completeness and quality.
- Determine follow-up needs for case processing.
- Meet internal and external timelines for submissions.
- Escalate issues that may delay submissions.
- Support high-volume periods across multiple databases.
Elanco Job Eligibility Criteria
- Veterinarian (equivalent to US DVM) with or without pharmacovigilance experience.
- M.Pharm with pharmacovigilance experience.
- 0-2 years of pharmacovigilance experience preferred.

- Understanding of PV regulations.
