Job Description
The junior research fellow jobs at R. C. Patel Institute involve working on an IICMR-fundedproject titled “Design, Synthesis, and Medicinal Chemistry Optimization of Novel Anti-Mycobacterial Agents Against MDR/XDR Tuberculosis with Pharmacological, Pharmacokinetic, and Toxicological Evaluation.” Candidates will engage in extensive research activities under the supervision of Dr. Harun M. Patel in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on anti-mycobacterial agents.
- Perform synthesis and optimization of medicinal compounds.
- Engage in pharmacological and toxicological evaluations.
- Collaborate with team members for project success.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and findings.
- Prepare reports and presentations for research outcomes.
- Participate in academic activities and discussions.
- Assist in the training of junior researchers and students.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (synthetic chemistry) or M. Pharm in Pharmacology/MS in Pharmacology. Candidates must also be GPAT/GATE qualified.
- Desirable Qualification: An FA first-class academic record, knowledge of organic synthesis, computational chemistry, and experience in cell culture protocols, molecular biology, and animal handling will be preferred.
Fellowship
- Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of Rs. 45,000/- per month.
