Medical Information Writer Job Description
The Medical Information Writer will play a crucial role in supporting various clients, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. This position involves managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Medical Information (MI) content development, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. The writer will collaborate closely with the EVERSANA Compliance team and contribute to the creation of essential medical communication resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain scientifically accurate MI content, including Scientific Response Documents and training materials.
- Manage the MI content development lifecycle, including literature searches and stakeholder feedback incorporation.
- Serve as the primary content owner within document management systems, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
- Conduct quality control and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and scientific rigor of MI deliverables.
- Manage translation requests and coordinate with external vendors for timely delivery of materials.
- Participate in client-facing meetings to provide scientific expertise and project updates.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation.
- Ensure all materials are compliant with regulatory and company requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or healthcare; advanced degrees preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in MI writing and medical content development.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex results.
- Familiarity with the AMA Style Guide and clinical research principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management tools.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Required Skills
- Experience in MI content development and scientific writing.
- Broad therapeutic area knowledge and experience managing diverse product portfolios.
- Proficiency in Veeva Vault System and document management processes.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to Medical Information.
- Ability to conceptualize and deliver high-quality, compliant medical content.
