Job Description
The Scientist in Process Engineering will lead the design and development of inhalation/injectable formulation processes, ensuring quality, scalability, and seamless technology transfer. The role involves implementing Quality by Design (QbD), coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure facility readiness, and executing plant trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust formulation processes for inhalation/injectable products.
- Implement Quality by Design (QbD) principles in product and process development.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure plant readiness and the execution of trials.
- Conduct experiments to validate material characteristics for stability and manufacturability.
- Optimize processes for scalability, operability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare technology transfer and safety documents, gate meeting presentations, and Batch Packing Records.
- Monitor facility preparedness, troubleshoot process issues, and oversee validation activities.
- Support cross-functional teams in R&D, manufacturing, and vendor sites.
Educational Qualifications
Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Experience and Skills
- 3–8 years in pharmaceutical companies, preferably in injectable product development.
- Formulation Development expertise in inhalation/injectables.
- Strong background in QbD, process optimization, and technology transfer.
- Knowledge of GMP and GLP standards.
- Operational Excellence experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams.
