Job Description
The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) invites applications from eligible candidates for three (03) positions of Junior Research Fellow. These positions are on a tenure basis for a period of two years, with a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs 37,000/- plus HRA as applicable, extendable for another year (maximum).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in human sports dope testing and anti-doping science.
- Assist in advanced analytical research using modern laboratory techniques.
- Perform analysis using state-of-the-art analytical instruments such as LC-Orbitrap-HRMS, GC/C/RMS, Sysmex XN 1000, and Cobas e 411.
- Participate in research projects related to dope science and method development.
- Generate, record, and interpret scientific data from laboratory experiments.
- Support validation and optimization of analytical methods.
- Collaborate with researchers and scientists from national and international institutes.
- Maintain laboratory records and ensure compliance with research protocols.
- Contribute to scientific publications, technical reports, and project documentation as required.
- Assist in achieving the objectives of ongoing research projects at the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL).
Qualification
- Post Graduate Degree in Pharma.
- Qualified National Eligibility Test – CSIR – UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
- OR Selected in any other National Level examinations conducted by the Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Salary
- ₹37,000 per month
- HRA as applicable

- Have a photo identity proof (PAN Card/Voter ID Card/Driving License/Passport) scanned in JPG/JPEG format (file size: 100 KB – 10 MB).
- Ensure a valid and active Mobile No. and email IDs are provided for communication.
- Preview the registration form before final submission.
- Qualifications are the bare minimum; having them does not automatically entitle candidates to an interview.
- Incomplete applications or those without relevant documents are liable to be rejected.
- The Competent Authority reserves the right to reject applications without assigning reasons.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test or interview.
- Engagement will be on a contractual basis for a period of two years, extendable for another year (maximum) or curtailed depending on performance.

- The decision of the Director and CEO (i/c), NDTL, regarding selection will be final.
General Instructions
- Performance will be reviewed yearly. Unsatisfactory performance may lead to contract termination with one month’s notice or salary in lieu.
- JRF will be eligible only for Casual Leave.
