Job Description
The selected candidates under this NIPER recruitment drive will contribute to a DST-funded project focused on developing nodal centers for the production of essential pharmaceutical components. The roles require a strong background in organic chemistry and related fields, with responsibilities including research, development, and collaboration within the project framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development activities in organic synthesis.
- Collaborate with team members on project objectives.
- Prepare reports and present findings to the project lead.
- Assist in the training of junior staff and students.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and results.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Junior Research Fellow: M.S./M.Pharm/M.Tech/M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Process Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. Research experience in organic synthesis and purification techniques is preferred.
- Research Associate – 1: Doctoral degree in Science/Pharma with specialization in Organic Synthesis/Medicinal Chemistry/Process Development/Semisynthesis/Natural Products from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates who have submitted their thesis will also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong background in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
- Experience with purification techniques and spectral characterization.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a research team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in scientific writing and reporting.
