Job Description

The intern will advance digital transformation in Analytical Technology: develop computational tools, apps, and system-level models for process characterization and optimization, with emphasis on hybrid (data-driven + mechanistic) modeling, process monitoring/control, and Lab of the Future automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an E&L app tracking internal/external data repositories and guidance documents.
  • Run digital fluency / AI tool training for colleagues.
  • Work with vendors on AI-based apps for Analytical Technology workflows.
  • Support laboratory automation projects.
  • Develop and validate a model for TRS100 with SMEs.
  • Apply ML, AI, statistical, and mechanistic models to process development.
  • Use basic chemistry and analytical techniques.
  • Present results.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Control Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Analytics, or a related discipline, with an academic focus on data-driven or mechanistic modeling, strong basic chemistry and analytics, and programming (Python, R, MATLAB, C/C++), numerical methods, and Linux HPC; app development background.
