    Job Description

    RCB is inviting applications for a Project Senior Research Fellow position under a research project titled “Studying the ribosomal RNA (rRNA) diversity, functional relevance of rRNA processing factor 2 (RPF2) in ribosome biogenesis, root and shoot development, and drought stress tolerance in rice.” The selected candidate will contribute to advanced molecular biology and biotechnology research while working closely with experienced researchers in a collaborative scientific environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct molecular biology and biotechnology research activities.
    • Perform protein isolation and purification experiments.
    • Support gene editing and functional genomics studies.
    • Assist in plant tissue culture and translation assays.
    • Conduct biochemical and molecular characterization studies.
    • Perform confocal microscopy-based analyses.
    • Support morphological characterization through tissue sectioning.
    • Maintain research records and experimental documentation.
    • Collaborate with research teams to achieve project objectives.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Education: M Pharmacy, Qualified in a national-level eligibility examination such as NET, GATE, or equivalent.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of research experience.
    • Fellowship: ₹42,000 per month + 27% HRA
