Job Description
In this research associate role, you will support discovery chemistry projects by designing synthetic routes, executing multi-step organic synthesis reactions, and characterizing target compounds. The research associate will contribute to drug discovery programs by solving synthetic challenges, conducting literature research, and maintaining accurate scientific documentation while ensuring data integrity and compliance with research standards.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery Chemistry & Synthesis
- Design synthetic routes for target molecules as a research associate
- Execute multi-step organic synthesis reactions
- Handle reactions from milligram to gram scale
Compound Characterization
- Characterize synthesized compounds using spectroscopic techniques
- Analyze and interpret experimental data
- Support compound evaluation activities
Scientific Research
- Perform literature searches using scientific databases such as SciFinder
- Review scientific publications and research findings
- Support project-related research activities
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks (eLNB)
- Ensure data integrity and accurate record keeping
- Document experimental procedures and results
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: M Pharm
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in discovery chemistry, organic synthesis, or pharmaceutical research
