Job Description
The Scientist – BAL-II performs bioanalysis with a focus on ligand-binding assays related to pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity. The position sits in Discovery Services / bioanalytical operations and supports study execution under established SOPs, regulatory guidance and internal quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ligand-binding assay (LBA) work for pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity, including assay development, validation and sample analysis as assigned.
- Ensure all bioanalytical lab activities comply with established SOPs, procedures, systems and regulatory guidance without unauthorized deviations.
- Interact regularly with the Study Director, Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) during raw-data and report review, observation closure and archival.
- Contribute to strategic planning for project execution, documentation of data, data analysis and interpretation of results.
- Complete assigned tasks to agreed timelines; participate in discussions of SOPs, protocols, methods and reports.
- Prepare reagents and buffers and maintain associated logbooks for assays and laboratory operations.
- Follow Syngene environment, health and safety (EHS) requirements, data-integrity expectations and mandatory trainings; contribute to a culture of safe operations and quality.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Biological Sciences (preferably Biochemistry background) or a related field.
- 0–3 years of total experience in Pharmacokinetics and Immunogenicity Assays. Freshers eligible.
Required Skills
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Background in immunoassay and bioanalytical pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity assays, with understanding aligned to regulatory guidance, industry practice and internal SOPs, is highly preferable.
- Hands-on experience in LBA development, validation and sample analysis is expected.
- Knowledge of ELISA and Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) assays is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as OECD, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, EMA and FDA guidelines is valued.
