Job Description
This scientist’s job involves conducting in vivo pharmacokinetic studies in rodents, preparing study protocols and reports for IND/NDA submissions, and supporting drug metabolism research activities. As part of a Syngene career, the selected candidate will contribute to ADME studies, pharmacokinetic data analysis, biological sample collection, and regulatory documentation while ensuring compliance with EHS and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in vivo pharmacokinetic (PK) studies in rodents
- Prepare study protocols and reports for IND/NDA submissions
- Maintain online laboratory notebooks and compound records
- Perform pharmacokinetic sampling and biological sample collection
- Collect tissues and organs for distribution studies
- Analyze pharmacokinetic data using Phoenix WinNonlin
- Ensure compliance with EHS, SOPs, and quality standards
- Participate in laboratory safety and mandatory training activities
- Support documentation for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic studies
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: M Pharm or M VSc (Pharmacology & Toxicology)
- Experience: Relevant experience in in vivo pharmacokinetic sampling, analysis, and reporting
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in in vivo pharmacokinetic studies
- Surgical expertise in jugular, femoral, portal vein, and bile duct cannulation in rodents
- Tissue distribution study techniques
- Collection of CSF, bile, urine, synovial fluid, and other biological samples
- Pharmacokinetic data analysis using Phoenix WinNonlin
- Knowledge of ADME studies and PK parameter interpretation
- Understanding of formulations for PK, efficacy, and toxicity studies
- Knowledge of DMPK regulatory guidelines
- Scientific documentation and reporting skills
- Strong laboratory safety and EHS compliance
