The launch of TheraNym by Aurobindo Pharma, has officially led the pharmaceutical brand to enter the biologics contract manufacturing segment , it is a new plant for the manufacturing of biologics in Telangana. With an investment of ₹1,200 crore, the facility is a significant step in the company’s efforts to diversify beyond its traditional generics business. The facility is located in Borapatla, Sangareddy district near Hyderabad, and its main goal is to use advances in pharmacological and pharmaceutical sciences to design biologic medicines for domestic and global markets. MSD (Merck & Co.), the big pharma giant, formed a partnership with TheraNym, making itself the first client for Aurobindo.
