The position is part of its Bioanalytical R&D function, contributing to biologics and biosimilar development programs through analytical method development, qualification, and characterization activities.
Job Description
- The Scientist – Bioanalytical R&D will contribute to biologics and biosimilar development programs by developing, optimizing, and qualifying bioanalytical methods.
- The role involves hands-on execution of ELISA-based assays and Product-Related Impurity (PRI) testing, including Host Cell Protein (HCP), Host Cell DNA (HCD), and Protein A Leachate (PAL).
- The candidate will support product characterization, method transfer, and co-qualification activities while ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and laboratory quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, qualify, and execute bioanalytical methods to support project requirements.
- Perform ELISA-based assays including HCP, HCD, PAL, and other impurity or characterization assays.
- Conduct product characterization studies and support method transfer/co-qualification activities.
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, troubleshooting, and technical reporting.
- Support cell culture, flow cytometry, and cell-based bioassays, as applicable.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with GDP, quality systems, and laboratory safety standards.
- Support equipment qualification, calibration, and laboratory operational activities.
- Prepare project updates, technical reports, and presentations; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- Experience: 2–8 years of relevant industry experience.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with ELISA and PRI methods (HCP, HCD, PAL).
- Strong understanding of bioanalytical method development, qualification, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in data analysis and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of quality-compliant laboratory practices.
- Flow Cytometry (Preferred).
- Mammalian Cell Culture (Preferred).
- Cell-Based Potency/Functional Bioassays (Preferred).
