Job Description
This Pharmacovigilance Job involves processing safety cases, analyzing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), and supporting global drug safety operations. As a Junior Data Analyst at Cognizant careers, you will work on case intake, medical coding, regulatory submissions, and pharmacovigilance compliance activities while ensuring accuracy and adherence to global safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and triage ICSRs in ARGUS safety databases within timelines.
- Download and monitor valid ICSRs from EudraVigilance and other sources.
- Handle literature, spontaneous, clinical trial, and solicited safety cases.
- Perform literature searches to identify valid ICSRs.
- Enter serious and non-serious cases in ARGUS with accuracy.
- Perform medical coding using MedDRA for events, indications, and patient history.
- Code suspect products and update case narratives.
- Obtain follow-up information according to regulatory guidelines.
- Generate and submit safety reports to regulatory authorities and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, GVP, ICH guidelines, SOPs, and safety standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1+ years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance case processing.
- Experience with global pharma sponsors is preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic areas such as Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, Oncology, Immunology, or Gene Therapy is an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance processes and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of GCP, GVP, ICH guidelines, and SOP compliance.
- Experience with ARGUS safety database.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and MedDRA coding.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage timelines effectively.
