About the Institute
BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (BRIC-NIAB) is an autonomous institution of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, under the aegis of the newly formed Biotechnology Research Innovation Council (BRIC). The institute leads in basic and translational research on animal health and productivity, including the human-animal interface, with a vision to improve animal health for human welfare. Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Master’s degree (M. Sc., M. Tech., M. V. Sc. or M. Pharm) or MBBS, BVSc & AH, or B. Tech (four years) degree in any branch of Life Sciences.
- Candidates must have CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/INSPIRE NET JRF/UGC-RGNF or any other national research fellowship valid for 05 years.
- Those with only GATE, MPAT or other certification exams (without a 5-year fellowship) are not eligible.
Selection Criteria
- Admission will be based on two rounds of online interviews.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.
- Interviews will be conducted through video conferencing.

- Candidates selected after the second round of interviews will be offered admission.
- Selected candidates must join the PhD program by 10 August 2026.
