Job Description
Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd is hiring an Officer – Quality Assurance (IPQA) for its Global Quality and Compliance team at the Jammu manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards throughout production and packaging processes. The selected candidate will perform in-process quality assurance activities, sampling, documentation review, product release, and quality inspections while supporting regulatory compliance and maintaining high product quality.
Key responsibilities
- Perform line clearance of production areas and equipment before manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with IPQA checklists and report any non-compliance.
- Verify adherence to SOPs in production and packaging operations.
- Monitor critical process parameters as per Batch Process Records (BPR).
- Conduct in-process sampling and testing during batch manufacturing.
- Perform sampling and release of blend, bulk, validation, stability, and finished product samples.
- Maintain sample receipt logs and submit samples to the laboratory promptly.
- Identify quality gaps and report them to the immediate supervisor.
- Verify overprinted details on foils, cartons, labels, and approve packing materials.
- Inspect finished products and bulk release using SAP HANA/LIMS.
- Review BMRs, BPRs, logbooks, scrap records, and other quality documents.
- Report abnormal conditions, initiate deviations when required, and support corrective actions.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), EHS guidelines, and SOPs at all times.
